Paddington’s Tea Room has been family owned and operated for the past twenty years. It was first created on La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles by its founder, Julianne Tozer who wanted to share her love for fine teas and delicious delicacies on fine bone china in the true English tradition of her heritage.
It wasn’t an easy task at first convincing Americans to take a tea break from the fast-paced L.A. lifestyle that they were so accustomed to, however, with much persistence and her strong belief that tea at Paddington’s would not only be an enjoyable experience but extremely health beneficial for the body and soul, Paddington’s became famous and set the trend of the popularity of tea drinking in the United States as it exists today.
Serving various members of the British Royal Family visiting Los Angeles and countless celebrities over the years at the tea room or catering privately, Julianne enjoys fulfilling her dreams and her life long ambition of being able to teach and educate people whenever possible about the wonderful benefits of drinking tea that she has gained throughout her life.
Best of all her accomplishments is imparting that knowledge to her youngest son, Jason, who is a Le Cordon Bleu Chef. Jason continues not only to carry on with all the wonderful family traditions that he has learned but also to add his own unique remarkable innovations and creations to serve generations to come for which Julianne is truly proud of.
After the first eleven years, Paddington’s Tea Room relocated to 355 South Robertson Boulevard in Beverly Hills and managed to maintain its world renowned reputation, quality, and charm.
Today Paddington’s can boast an uninterrupted history of service and tradition which keeps a dignified pace with progress introducing its very own ‘private label’ line of teas. Our goal is to offer the best and finest teas available anywhere for everyone to enjoy and appreciate either at Paddington’s or in the comfort of their own home.
